On May 5, 1971, Argentine-British nurse Violet Jessop passed away. In her decades-long career she survived 3 eventful voyages. She was aboard the RMS Olympic when it collided—but didn’t sink—with the HMS Hawke in 1911. She was aboard the RMS Titanic that sank in 1912. She was aboard the RMS Britannic when a u-boat torpedoed and sank it in 1916.
