I think my favorite new technique for this model was the construction of the Vault (shown on the left), which protects the Juno electronics from the intense radiation environment around Jupiter. The cube-shaped vault needed to be at a 45 degree angle to the rest of the spacecraft. To achieve this orientation, I developed a way to build off of a Technic axle at 45 degrees. It worked perfectly.
