Finally, a Patch of Green
Nature Gives Up on a Weak Winter, Brings on Spring
For weeks, Flickr folk have been posting photographs of flowers and budding trees. I’ve sat and looked out over brown yards and bare trees. Well, no more. I found this clump of fescue growing in my dooryard, and a few more in the dog yard. For obvious reasons, I didn’t want to crawl around inside the front fence shooting hummocks of grass (the occasional dog bomb being only one reason) so I braved the sog and crouched in the back yard with my tripod at its lowest. The ground was still wet from the night before’s freshet, so I wound up with the left knee of my jeans nasty muddy, but it was worth it.
Oh, and yeah: Note to Self: check at Ocean State Job Lot and see if they have any knee pads...
Canon EOS 7D, Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM, ƒ16 @ 1/32 second, ISO 200
Now spring has sprung the cyclotron,
How now browse thou, Brown Cow?
