A few weeks ago, Ed convinced me to get a new plastic/brass house number to replace my old wooden numbers. I wanted to get something new, since the old numbers would not look as good against the newly mortared bricks.
It's a good concept, using numbers with double-stick adhesive to hold against the sign. It beats painting a wooden sign with several coats of paint, at least that was the idea...
Well, it looked good for about two days after it was installed, when the '4' fell off. I didn't get around to repairing it. And a few days ago, the '6' fell off.
I still have some brass screw-in numbers which I plan on using, except I can't find one of the screws...
