Tracks of my mind
My mind wanders as I drive home. It can be really pleasant driving through the Cheshire countryside, even a little adventurous in the worst winters. But in the last 34 years I've been past here perhaps ten times a week almost every day of my working life which easily calculates at about sixteen thousand times! Imagine the agony of getting to work and realising you forgot something essential and going all the way back home to pick it up and then go back to work again, but did that 8,000 times.....1, .....2......3......4 and on and on and on ...but very soon I will never do it again. I've often looked over my shoulder as I pass this spot to see the sun shining down the avenue of maize. Tonight there was a wild sky brewing and I just had to grab it for the memories it will trigger in the future.
