Vignette sample - DX crop-frame lens on full-frame camera

Here's what it looks like when you put a "digital-only" (DX/APS-C) SLR lens on a full-frame (FX/35 mm) camera -- you get a black vignette around the image. See my blog post about why "digital" lenses like this are cheaper to buy.

 

Taken with an AF Nikkor 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6G DX lens at 18mm, on a Nikon F4s SLR with Kodak BW400CN black and white 35 mm print film.
