Harbinger of Fun

Gouache and Ink on Printed Picture, 2010.

I do my best to never pray for dumb things. Sometimes I pray for things like my mom or my dad being happier people, or for people close to me to find the strength within themselves to rise above difficult circumstances. Sometimes I slip up and pray for traffic to let up so that I can get to work on time, but if I catch myself I try to do some sort of good deed in exchange for praying for something stupid.

Tonight I prayed for some direction toward being a better person. I got a response, which was more or less "do more good." I'm pretty sure I know what that means, so I'm gonna do more good.

Here's another piece from my solo show. I hope you're all being nice to other people, not driving like jerks, and not being depressingly selfish during this Christmas season!

Empire Seven Studios is proud to present the debut solo exhibition by Kyle Pellet. Inspired by good memories, bad omens, fears, hard work, and guilty pleasures, Pellet draws and paints images reflecting the confounding joy and terror of everyday life. For this exhibition, he has created hundreds of drawings and paintings on paper of various dimensions. This exhibit is an ample opportunity to purchase original art by Pellet at very affordable prices!
