Another old Reading Railroad station--Williamsport, PA
This one has no postmark but appears to be from 1900-1915 from the looks of the women's clothing. The Market Street Bridge on the far right was built in 1894 and crosses the Susquehanna River. The Reading Railroad began as the Philadelphia and Reading Railroad way back in 1833 and by the 1870s they were the largest corporation in the world. The name was changed to The Reading Company in 1924 and they declared bankruptcy in 1971.
The passenger and freight stations were located at the foot of Pine Street along Front Street. Front Street is now part of the highway along the river and these buildings appear to be long gone. Thanks to "ironcity777" for the exact location.
