SAS-4 tower in Dessel panorama
In Dessel they build a tower a few years ago to have a nice overview of the "Kempen", I've past it numerous times with my bike and every-time I thought in myself: I have to come here for a panorama picture. Last December I finally made it, it only took 6 weeks to process the pictures due to several circumstances.
This is the first of two panorama's, this one is a straight forward right to left panorama in manual mode and 3 exposures for each section to create a HDR panorama. I chose manual so diaphragm and exposure speed staid the same as this was needed for PtGui.
Post processing consisted of:
1. Created HDR panorama in PtGui (a tiff and hdr created)
2. Used the hdr in Photomatix to do the 'HDR-ing'
3. Loaded in photoshop for:
3.1 Noise reduction in the sky
3.2 Selective high-pass sharpening (not the sky and water)
3.3 Selective boosted the saturation of the right tree and the middle trees (overall saturation boosted, and some extra red&green)
3.4 Flatten image
4. Imported in Lightroom
5.Straightened the horizon a little by rotating a little bit (very easy in Lightroom with the crop tool)
6. Exported to Flickr with Mogrify/Jeffrey's plugin
Best viewed in Large and as always all comments/remarks/improvements are welcome
