Look behind the label

Submitted for SPNC - Year 2 - Instruction # 16

"Enjoy times when you shoot impulsively and photograph mindlessly. The edit might reveal more than you think." - Jack Simon

This is the sixteenth Instruction for the Year 2 of the Street Photography Now Project, written to inspire fresh ways of looking at and documenting the world we all live in. Photographs contributed should be new work made in response to the Instruction.

I quite liked this instruction - I spent an hour or so shooting from the hip (not looking at the iphone screen at all) very impulsively and the results were.....well largely hopeless, bad angles, non-artisitic blur, terrible composition...but then i saw this wonderful lady in the supermarket and immediately took a few shots. This is the best for the brief I think...because as I was cropping I saw the "look behind the label" text which I didn't realise was there. It made me think of how the elderly are often labelled and their rich life stories ignored.

There we go that's my little story.

Thanks!
