Space Hardware
:10 Things
I saw two shooting stars last night
I wished on them but they were only satellites
Is it wrong to wish on space hardware
I wish, i wish, i wish you'd care
—Billy Bragg, "A New England"
We drove home from Toronto last night listening to a CD my brother made of Bragg's "Worker's Playtime" album. For some reason he added two versions of "A New England" — Bragg's and Kirsty MacColl's. That stanza stuck in my head all day today so I figured I'd wait for the International Space Station to fly by and exorcise it from me.
(This is a one minute exposure and as such the satellite leaves a streak in the sky. You don't actually see the streak in real life, just a bright, moving object.)
