I was asked to purchase a few iPod Touches for work yesterday. They will be Jailbroken and used for special projects in the Security Architecture course. I've been playing with it. It's a rather cool toy. Spec-wise I think the Nokia N800 is a far better device, but the ease of use with Apple's AppStore is seamless. WiFi works out-of-the-box. And I even purchased an officially-sactionned International Year of Astronomy iPhone/iPod Touch application called Star Walk. It provides a 360° view of the celestial vault and you can scroll from north to south pole, too. The Stanza eBook reader can even download public domain books from the Gutenberg Project.
