Among a sea of hundreds of Harlequin Calicoflowers (Downingia insignia), I saw 3 specimens that had a similar shape, but a different coloration. One of the three, shown here, also had an extra lobe on the lower lip, making it particularly unusual. Jepson Prairie Reserve, located near Fairfield, California.
