Strangers #62 Jonna & Son
I have to confess, I enjoy meeting strangers and learning their stories and if I go through tthe 100 Strangers Project too fast, I won't get the full enjoyment of the process. Once I reach 100 strangers the project is over so I'm guessing that is why I am moving so slow.
Anyway, on to my wonderful stranger. This Is Jonna and her son. What a pleasure it was to meet them.
My grandson and I were looking to kill an hour or two and wouldn't you know, we ended up at the playground. My grandson is very social and in about two minutes he made friends with a couple of kids. Jonna's grandson was one of them and I overheard them comparing "grandmother notes."
"My grandmother is sitting on that bench writing," I overheard her grandson say.
"Well my grandomother is over there with her camera trying to photograph those geese. She always has a camera!"
It wasn't too long before Jonna came and chatted with me for awhile and I learned that she was new to California. She's trying some new ideas here and she is hoping everything will work out for her.
Although I did not get a picture of her grandson, I did get to photograph her and her son. When he sat on her knee, she immediately wrapped her arounds around him and he responded as though this was the way things should be. What I really enjoy about this photo is one can truly see the bond between them. Thank you Jonna for choosing to be a part of my stranger project!
This picture is #62 in my 100 strangers project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at www.flickr.com/groups/100strangers/
