Stranger #12 - Drew

This is Drew -- another friend of Joey's (Stranger # 8) -- who I met at the airport.

 

Drew loves skateboarding -- so much so that he carried his skateboard with him... from Atlanta... to California... on the plane... and even in his portrait. when I talked to him, I mentioned that he reminded me of a surfer. He said he tried it once in Florida. He enjoyed it but the waves were not too good at the time.

 

Like Joey and Charles, he also came to visit his friend in 29 Palms but he also came to visit a female friend. He was disappointed that she got sick during his stay. He wanted to spend more time with her but he was due back to work the next day. He was torn between going back to work or just staying in California to be with his friend. Even though his heart was in Cali, he didn't leave the airport... I guess... he wanted to keep his job.
