After the tragic death of his father in a traffic incident, Sajid Mirajkar has taken over the family business of sitar making. The Mirajkar family has kept up this craft for many generations. Some examples of their skill are on view in the Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum, also in Pune.
In 2010, we visited the shop and made a portrait of Sajid's father. Two years later, when we visited again, it seemed fitting to make a similar portrait of the youngest generation.
