Salt pans, Little Rann of Kutch

The Little Rann of Kutch is a saline desert. There is some traditional salt panning. We spoke to some of the people that earn a very meagre living that way. They get ridiculous little money for their salt, compared to the wholesale market prices. The salt people live next to their pans in the desert, far from any villages.
