Veiled for Passiontide

Traditionally, Passiontide is the last two weeks of Lent, when the readings and prayers of the liturgy focus on the Passion of Our Lord. In this period, images of the Crucified Lord and saints are customarily veiled, as we 'fast' from this images so that they have a stronger impact when the Cross is unveiled on Good Friday.

My sermon for today can be read here.
