Hustle and bustle

A lady responds to an enthusiastic market stall worker and raises her finger to order one crab stick. The sign says, “This is imitation crab. Please enjoy Japanese imitation crab technology.”

The Nishiki food market in Kyoto is full of interesting stalls. It gets hectic as you can see. In Japan, people do not walk and eat. Nishiki is geared up for tourists, and there are plenty of signs to tell people not to eat when they are walking. I think this is a practical consideration as you will definitely get bumped and jostled in the crowds.
