Sunrise on Sand lake

I recently spent some time in the beautiful state of Wisconsin. Staying on a lake made it easy to watch for those magical sunrises.

 

I didn't have to travel and scout out a nice location hoping the sky would pop. I just woke up at 5 am walked a few feet when I saw the sun was going to cooperate, take my shot and then go back to bed.

 

Later in the morning I'd take a nice kayak ride around the lake on the calm waters taking in all the beauty. It was nice to see all the wildlife up close and personal.
