Sunrise at the Rock
Winter seemed to come early this year to northern Minnesota with snow and temps in the 20's. After a weekend of overcast skies and off and on flurries, I was able to enjoy a fairly clear morning.
As I was waiting for the sunrise to officially pop, a large bank of clouds rolled in and completely blotted out the sun. Fortunately I got to this place while it was still dark and this ended up being the best color of the morning.
A little disappointed it didn't pan out exactly how I wanted, I should be thankful for what I got after the gray weekend it had been. I do think the fog was a nice touch and added some drama to this place.
This is another tombolo in northern MN known as "The Rock".
