Western Reef Egret | Egretta gularis schistacea

Egrets huddle on the beach in the mist. An interesting photo! Well I think so anyway.

 

We arrived at Modhva before sunrise and in the blue light an abundance of birds were already apparent along the shore. Our main goal was to see Crab Plover, but I immediately knew the host of potential subjects meant it would be a great morning for photography.
