Eastern Phoebe | Sayornis phoebe | Moucherolle phébi

All day Saturday and Sunday, and Monday morning, at Prince Edward County and one photo to show. Oh well. My wife and I still had a great time in this picturesque and very trendy location - oven fired pizza at the Norman Hardie Winery, breakfast burgers at the Drake Devonshire Inn, coffee at Tim Horton's. Nothing to complain about. We will head back in November, when I am sure to secure a stunning photo of something.

Mid fall is the time for rare flycatchers to show up, so our hopes were high, especially as a mix of weather systems were blasting through from the south, including the tail end of Hurricane Nate. Unfortunately, over the Thanksgiving Weekend there was no sign of anything but Eastern Phoebe, a nice bird, but rather common. November awaits!
