The lonely Shepherd.

I've just finished reading about techniques developed by Ansel Adams and how they can now be brought to the digital darkroom.

This was taken a few days ago up at Glencoe under less than favourable lighting and I have had this idea rattling around my old dome for a while, but never quite sure of exactly how I would go about processing it.

I've not used Adams zone system(still getting my head around that one), but it's a near perfect exposure and I have developed the image in LR and then finished with today's version of the darkroom techniques Adams used.

I know it won't be to everyones taste as it's not straight out the camera(as seems to be the want today), but as Adams once stated "the negative as the score and the final print as the performance which conveys the emotion and aesthetic ideas of the photographer".

For me LR/PS are there to develop the images as I envision with as little or as much processing as is necessary to achieve that, and if others enjoy them, that's a bonus.
