IMMERSED IN A BLUE CLOUD (Pyropteron chrysidiformis & Lavandula)

The Fiery clearwings is a moth of the family sesiidae. The wing transparent and the antennas imitate very well some aspects of Hymenoptera that predators generally avoid. This moth in Italy is bivoltine (two generations).Fly from late May to July, the 2nd generation is seen in August. It's located in areas with land drainage, railway embankments, roadside verges also reported in coastal areas with sandy gravel or pebbles and in all the areas to satisfy the needs of plants suckler waste places with warm microclimate for the development of moth. You can observe it in almost all Europe. It's a moth daytime and you can meet it until mid-afternoon.
