Ziegfeld Follies 2.5D Parallax Test

Another test of cutting up images into planes for simulated motion and depth. This time with prettier source material, like the Ziegfeld Follies girls!

 

Each image cut is created from single photographs/images. I hand-masked each image in GIMP, then brought each layer as a new image on a plane in Blender 3D. I then arranged the planes and animated the camera and each of the meshes to provide the sense of depth and movement.

 

I'll probably write a quick tutorial before long...
