November 2010 - Bubbles Quilt Block
For this month's quilting bee block, Quynh asked us to make bubbles on a dark background, using bright solid colors and Japanese-style whimsical fabric. So much fun! I strip-pieced the solid colored fabrics and then cut them into circles. I machine-stitched the circles onto the dark background with a small zigzag stitch, and I used plenty of spray starch to keep things flat.
It was a lot of fun to make this block and a nice change from sewing all patchwork-pieced blocks!
