June - Owls Block (Closeup of machine embroidery)
For this month's Hip to Bee Square quilting bee, we were asked to make wonky trees, houses or log cabins, incorporating owl fabric in the block. I had so much fun making a tree and house block in April that I decided to make a similar one (this time with a tree AND a house in one block!).
The owls are hanging out in the tree and enjoying the scenery. To add some interest, I played with the decorative stitches on my sewing machine and added some machine embroidery. It was a lot of fun to make, and I hope Jan likes it!
