The daffodils are starting to emerge and I had the windows open for a bit too today. Strange considering we had snow this week!

 

Now for TOTW I should try and remember my technique...

 

1. Wander about aimlessly with camera.

2. Try to avoid lying in mud.

3. Upload to computer and realise you don't like it as is.

4. I'll get serious now. Created a duplicate layer and with lasso roughly selected daffodil in foreground.

5. Inverted selection and desaturated 100%

6. Tidied up edges with magic wand selection.

7. Changed layer transparency to 50%.

8. Created another duplicate layer and moved between existing ones.

7. Used albumen time travel effect (this is in PSP you could use a faded sepia layer for similar effect).

8. Changed layer transparency to 75%.

9. Merged all layers.

10. Fiddled with curves.

 

Mostly I just mess around in PSP til I get something that I like. Best techique of all!
