Alaska State Troopers Hat and Pants

From the Alaska State Troopers - some insignia and clothing.

 

Here is a collage of the uniform pants and hat used by the Alaska State Troopers.

 

If you CLICK on the photo you can see much more detail such as on the hat badge. The red and yellow cord on the hat also look better enlarged.

 

The stripe on the pants is approximately 1 1/16 inches wide, and the red stripe is approximately 1/4 inch wide.

 

The hat badge has the state seal in the center and the panels on the badge read, Alaska State Troopers with a number on the bottom. You can read this easily if you click on the pic.

 

I think some older hat badges used to have the rank of the person where the word, Troopers, appears now, so older hat badges would say something such as, Alaska State Sergeant. Nowadays, I think all hat badges say just the name of the agency with no rank mentioned.

 

I am just starting out my collection of AST insignia. But thanks to the collectors who loaned me items to photograph.
