Alaska State Troopers Sergeant Shirt
From the Alaska State Troopers - a shirt with its insignia.
Click on the pic for a larger view.
Here is a sergeant's long sleeve shirt.
This is missing the brass buttons which have the Alaska state seal, which belong on the dark blue pocket flaps and on the shoulders. These buttons are easily removed for cleaning.
This shirt has the chevrons, the standard current shoulder patch and the 4 stars each indicating 5 years of AST service.
The star patches are actually 2 patches, each with 2 stars. A patch with one star on it is the same size, with the star centered on it.
STILL NEED the brass buttons that go on the shirt.
Regardless of rank, all AST officers wear this style and color of shirt.
You can tell that the shoulder patch is current style, because it has gold letters to spell out State Troopers on the bottom, with a dark blue background behind those letters. The prior issue shoulder patch used dark blue for the letters with a light blue background. The style even before that, used gold letters on a light blue background.
I am just starting out my collection of AST insignia. But thanks to the collectors who loaned me items to photograph.
I have more AST insignia pictured on my web site devoted to this stuff --

Still looking for various AST items including any badges (breast, hat and wallet), a campaign hat, door decal, and other items - noted on my web site.
