Alaska State Troopers hat badge and anniversary badge

Here are 2 badges from the Alaska State Troopers.
LEFT - is a hat badge. It resembles the breast badge but is a bit smaller.
This has the manufacturer's mark (the hallmark) on the back.
Unlike the breast badges, most hat badges do not have the rank on them. Instead, they have the agency name plus the person's badge number.
I have seen pics of some older AST hat badges that have a rank panel. However, these hat badges do not have the full agency name on them. That's because the rank was placed on the panel where the word "Troopers" appears on the pictured badge. So those particular hat badges said, for instance, Alaska State Sergeant. Nowadays, I believe all hat badges use the full agency name with no rank.
RIGHT - Here is the Alaska State Troopers anniversary badge from 2009 to celebrate 50 years of statehood.
Troopers were authorized to wear this on duty during 2009.
The badge number or name on the bottom panel has been blocked from view.
On the bottom panel, troopers could have their name, badge number or another permanent ID number engraved.
This has the manufacturer's mark (the hallmark) on the back.
This badge is highly reflective and is a little tough to photograph up close.
AST breast badges have the name of the agency, plus the rank of the person. That's why this badge says, Alaska State Troopers Trooper.
Since this could have been worn on duty during 2009, you can see some troopers wearing this badge on some of the older episodes of the National Geographic television show, Alaska State Troopers.
