GREAT HORNED OWL TWO OWLETS

These guys hatched on or about April 15, 2024.
This pic is one of the very last of the two owlets. The two were seen together on the evening of May 12. That's when this pic was taken. But starting the following morning, only one owlet was seen in the nest. I don't know what happened overnight to the second owlet. I don't have a great view of the ground directly beneath the nest. The little guy was too young to know how to fly. So its fate remains unknown and it saddens me to report this.
I have other pics of mom and dad owls and the owlet(s) in my Flickr album, OWLS 2024, and a link to that is somewhere on this page. I will continue to add more owlet pics over time.
UPDATE JUNE 2, 2024 - the owlet that went missing for 21 days has been seen! It appears to be doing just fine. I have several pics of the 2 owlets in my album.
