Here is one of several pics of a couple of great horned owls that visited our back yard during February 2024.
Two owls came to our yard several times between Feb. 3 and Feb. 19. One of the trees in the back has an old nest made by Cooper's hawks and I think they were scoping it out along with the general area.
On Feb. 19, I saw what I think was the female, actually sitting in the nest, as if trying it out.
But we haven't seen these guys since.
