GERMAN POLICE HAT from NIEDERSACHSEN

Here is an obsolete hat formerly used by the police in the German state of Niedersachsen.

 

You can tell it's obsolete because it's green. Over time, the police in Germany switched from green uniform items to blue items, due to the desired look by the European Union.

 

This hat is for the rank of Major.

 

The small item below the state badge is a cockade. It uses the colors of the national flag.
