Here's a pic of the famous Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel as seen from the summit of Sulphur Mountain after you take the 8 minute gondola ride to the top.
You can see the famous Van Horne statue near the lower right. There are many similar pics such as this on Flickr-- if you can see the Van Horne statue, that likely means that the pic was taken from the top of the mountain. Pics of the hotel taken while on the gondola ride, usually can't get the Van Horne statue in those pics because they are aren't high enough near the summit.
