ARIZONA RANGERS tan SHOULDER PATCH

Click on the pic for a larger view.

Here is a shoulder patch from the Arizona Rangers.

This is the patch worn when Rangers wear the tan uniform, sometimes called the summer uniform. But not all Rangers wear the summer uniform - some wear the black uniform all year round. In Pima County, the summer Ranger uniform is not worn because it closely resembles the everyday uniform of Pima County sheriff's deputies.

Per Wikpedia, the Arizona Rangers is a noncommissioned civilian auxiliary that supports law enforcement in the state of Arizona. They have state-wide jurisdiction. Per state statute, Rangers can provide armed law enforcement assistance to any State, Federal, Local or Tribal law enforcement agency in Arizona. Police departments often call in the Rangers to assist with tasks such as traffic control, surveillance, crime scene preservation, court security, and prisoner transportation.

I have pics of other Ranger items here on Flickr - click on my Arizona Rangers album link, seen to the right of this text.
