BANFF SPRINGS HOTEL COIN
Here is a commemorative coin from the famous Fairmont Banff Springs hotel.
The hotel is located in Alberta, Canada.
One of the views from the hotel is Mount Rundle, pictured on one side of the coin. The other side has a pic of the world famous hotel.
This coin is encased in a plastic holder and because of that, the pic is not as clear as it could be otherwise. But it's also in great condition because it's encased - looks brand new.
The coin measures approximately 1 5/16 inches across (33 mm). I am unsure what it is made of, but it is a brilliant silver color.
This was actually a trade token in 1988 - you could use it like it was a dollar coin.
Many people who ride the Rocky Mountaineer train stay at this hotel.
The hotel was built by the Canadian Pacific railroad.
Mount Rundle is just south of Banff and is prominent from the hotel.
