Pima County Sheriff's Department Coin Deputy Tim Graham
Here is a coin from the Pima County, Arizona Sheriff's Department. It is known as the fallen deputy medallion.
The following information is from the PCSD web site --
End of Watch: August 10, 2005
On August 10, 2005, at approximately 7:52 p.m., Deputy Graham responded to a suspicious person call at the Circle K located at Ajo Highway and Kinney Road. The suspicious person was identified as Aaron Kenneth Swyers; Deputy Graham had previous contact with Aaron Swyers earlier that same day.
When Deputy Graham arrived, Aaron Swyers was combative and ran across Ajo Highway. Deputy Graham pursued the suspect and caught up with him on the median. A physical fight ensued as Deputy Graham attempted to detain Aaron Swyers for his own safety. At this point, a passerby, identified as Mr. Dawud Isa Abusida, observed the struggle and stopped to assist the deputy. During the altercation, Deputy Graham, Mr. Abusida, and the suspect fell into a westbound lane on Ajo Highway; all three were struck and killed by an oncoming vehicle.
Deputy Timothy Graham, age 30, was survived by his wife Sherry, two step-sons Patrick and Jackson, his mother Judy, and his grandmother Betty.

I collect coins and insignia from the PCSD. You can see other items I have pictured on Flickr by clicking on the link on this page to go to my Pima County Sheriff album. I am still looking for several of their coins and patches. Old/used patches are also desired. Especially looking for the large back patches that say Forensics and Sheriff Corrections.
ALSO NEED the PCSD Honors Guard coin and any of the PCSD Motors coins.
