me, being stupid

i really started to panic when i began to realize that i couldn't make this stupid boat go anywhere with these oars and that every time i turned around the shoreline was another dozen yards away. moments after this, i flung the oars away and frantically hand-paddled myself back to shore. stacee said i didn't stop paddling even after getting back up on the beach.
