I don’t see my artistic photography as limited to capture reality as my eyes see it. To me it is a medium to create hyper perceptions of what I physically see. It is a way of taking the representation of what my eyes see and bring out aspects of reality that are inside my mind and my heart. It is a way to describe how I want reality to be to define a sentiment or an emotion. It is an optimistic (or pessimistic) view of reality that better describes and conveys aspects of the original subject that cannot be brought to the attention of the viewer with only colored pixels straight from a camera.
Nine exposures were necessary to cover the entire dynamic range of this image that captures the sun straight on, and dark areas underneath the bridge, all in the same frame.
