A mystical sunset
The horizon was covered in fog, creating a thin curtain in front of the setting sun. The open sea formed a sea smoke as the sun set and the air cooled (- 6 °C). Half an hour after the photo was taken, the island and horizon had already completely disappeared from view. Fresh snow that had just fallen on the coast nicely softens the foreground. Captured in the Kallahti nature reserve in Helsinki in late February (A7R7189-1e).
