California Dreamer

Many a dreamer's trip to California was not as golden as planned.

Immigrants had mixed experiences. When immigration from Japan was banned, the only way anyone could come to America was via bride matching. Always a danger agreeing to marry someone without having met them, let alone judging them by an out of date photo.

 

This scene was the most poignant in the now closed show Golden Dreams.
