WHY BAHUJAN STUDENTS' MOVEMENT'! .
It is a historical and yet a bitt~r reality that the manuvadis (so-called .
upp~rcastes) who constitutejust 15% population of the Country. have monopolized all the resources like trade. ~vcalth. commerce. land. jobs in Pvt. & Govt. sector and denied fundamental rights ofeducation, p-roperty. vocation & 0 lire of dignity & self-respect to the people belonging to Bahujan Snmaj. Nevertheless, our great Bahujan ancestors. stat1ing. from Mahatma Jotiba Phulc, Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj, Periyar Ramaswami, Naravana Gu1·u and Babasaheb Ambedkar, through their exemplar: struggles. ga\ e a death-blov. to the rnanuvadi social order. Not onl) this. the) also set the path ofself-help & self-respect for the Bahujans to tread on. Our ancestors \\arned us about th~: cunning & treacherous mindsets of the manuvadi organization~ like Congress (NSUI). BJP (ABVP). Leftists AISA. Al51-. PSU. DSU etc. etc.). The) also e'hotted the Bahujan Samaj to form their 0\\ 11 organizations/parties toeffecti\ely .
challenge and uproot the manuvadi organimtions at all levels. .
It's a well known fact that such manuvadi srudt!nts' organizations, in nexus with manuvadi administration and authorities. have been regularly misguiding Bahujan Students and creating confusion and conflicts among them for last several decades in all the educational institutions in the country. JNU is one ofthe finest examples ofsuch manuvadi game plan. In su~h an environment. Bahujan students feel insecure. help less and discriminated against, without any voice of their own in such a hostile environment in their acadeniic life. These manuvadi students· organizations also "use·· soml.! SC/ST/OBC/RM students. by making them clwmchas and using them against their own community. .
For the past few years. there has been a growing feeling amongst the Sllldents belonging to the SC/ST/OBC & RM communities in JNU that the manuvadi students· organizations have been fooling them for a long time and the interests and concerns of the students belonging to these communities are not being addressed to. Not just that, all the manuvadi students· oroanizations .

have covert understanding & "internal unity'' when it comes to the interests of Bahujan Students, whether it pertains to reservation, appointment at faculty positions. scholarships or incidents of atrocities/discrimination against the students belonging to the Bahujan Samaj. It is being strongly felt that time has come to provide an effective a.nd strone; alternative to the manuvadi brand of students politics, so that the interests of the Bahujan stltdents can be safeguarded. .

WHY CONTESTING ELECTION BY BAHU.JAN STUDENTS' FRONT IS IMPORTANT? .
<)em inars. pub I ication of pamph lets & protest demonstrations can. at the most. point tO\\ards the problems and propose a solution but for sohing the problems one has to go for direct action. Creating awareness is the fundamental responsihilit} ofany organization but to implement those proposals or ideas. the organi~ation must invoh e itself into the mechanism or the S) stem that caters to the effective impkmentaiion of those ideas. We ha\ e been receiving constant suggestions from rhe Bahujan Students' fraternity ofJNU to undertake this task oftaking on the manuvadi students· organization ofJNU by horn and to expose their dubiou~ games of repeatedly confusing and cheating the Bahujans with their "glib talks and glorious inactivity" on all fronts. .
There are historical and contemporary reasons to contest election this year. The year 2006 is of the Golden Jubilee (501h) Year of the socio-religious revolution originated by the champion of the Oppressed Communities and the builder of Modern Democratic India. Babasaheb Ambedkar. Also. in this) ear .
(i.e. 2006) the mnnuvadi class has finally come out of their false & pretentious ·ideological cocoons· to openly and collectively oppose the reservation pol icy for the SC/ST/OBC communities. It's the moral and historical responsibility of the Bahujan Students community to give a befitting. reply to all these rnanuvadi conspiracies .
OBJECTIVES .
University is a place wherein ideas germinate and lead to the shaping of the destiny ofthe nation. To translate these ideas into practice, there's a need to prepare committed students· leadership with ideological conviction and self-respect. .
