Roads not to be forgotten

This alpine road with many hairpin turns leads to the Fraele Towers (built in the 14th century), an important strategic outpost of the Middle Ages. In the old days, it connected the Valtellina Valley in Italy with Switzerland and was known as the "path of salt and wine."

The route is included in the list of the most exciting and dangerous roads in the world.
