Magnetic Sunrise

Here’s yet another Vertorama from my recent photo-tour of the Banff National Park… this one was taken shortly after sunrise from the top of the rock-pile at Moraine Lake.

I actually suspect that this “rock-pile” contains significant quantities of magnetite… somehow I was magically drawn up those steps the minute we arrived at the lake… and I found it incredibly difficult to leave again when all the others in the group started heading back down to the cars! Some invisible force was holding me back here… I was trying to walk down the steps… but the force-fields were making me stop every few meters to take yet another photo!!

If it wasn’t the magnetic rocks… then it must have been the light! :)

Hope you all have a great weekend!!!

Nikon D300, Sigma 10-20mm at 16mm, aperture of f7.1, with a 1/100th second exposure.
