The Market Bar
Fade Street, Dublin. Originally the South City Markets, 1878-81 by Lockwood + Mawson. This area used to be a sausage factory. The place was refurbished a few years ago and now operates as a gastro pub, I suppose you'd call it. In fairness, the food is great and well worth a go if you're in need of some solids. Even though there's no music the atmosphere is fairly lively, but the place gets mental loud when it's packed, and it's often packed. There's an external smoking area at the entrance off Fade Street, employing a novel circumvention of the anti-smoking laws. Non-smokers bedamned...see large
