Mullagh Lake
Mullagh, Co. Cavan. The island in the center of the photo is called Crow Island and is a Crannog, a man-made island that used to serve as a dwelling protected from attack by being surrounded by water. There is a stone pathway hidden just under the water that leads out to the island. Only those living on the Crannog would have known where it was.
Local Myth had it that there's a faerie village under the water. Personally I put that down to whiskey, or maybe mushrooms.
