St. George
Former Church of Ireland, Hardwicke Place, Dublin.
1902 - 13, by Francis Johnston, the Architect of the G.P.O and Dublin Castle's Chapter Royal. At last after 20 odd years with scaffolding covering it's spire this building can be once again seen in all it's glory. Apart from it's unique design it is also notable among Dublin's churches by being broader than it is long. Having suffered the indignity of spending a few years being used as a crappy dance club - the Temple Thatre, it's interior has now been reworked as modern office space by Joseph Doyle Architects
