Crow Island
On Mullagh Lake, Co. Cavan.
A 12 image panorama
The island in the center of the photo is called Crow Island and is a Crannog, a man-made island that used to serve as a dwelling protected from attack by being surrounded by water. As a defensive strategy there is a stone pathway hidden just under the water that leads out to the island. Only those living on the Crannog would have known where it was.
